Dr. Victoria Maizes is the Founding Executive Director of the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine and a Professor of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Arizona. Internationally recognized as a leader in integrative medicine, Dr. Maizes is committed to helping individuals live healthier lives and pioneering change efforts within health care systems.

Dr Maizes took on the role of Director of the Program in Integrative Medicine in 2000 and stewarded its growth from a small program that trained four physicians annually into an internationally recognized Center of Excellence. With her team at the Center, she pioneered multiple national educational programs leading to its status as the premier educational program in integrative medicine. The Center currently trains more than 1000 physicians, nurses, and other health professionals each year in its fellowship, residency, and lifestyle programs. Collectively, these health professionals provide integrative care for millions of people.

Named one of the world’s 25 intelligent optimists by ODE magazine, Dr Maizes is a highly sought-after speaker, who frequently delivers keynotes around the world. Her podcast, Body of Wonder, which she co-hosts with Dr Andrew Weil is highly regarded. She is the editor of the Oxford University textbook Integrative Women’s Health and the author of Be Fruitful: The Essential Guide to Maximizing Fertility and Giving Birth to a Healthy Child. Her newest book, HEAL FASTER: Unlock Your Body's Rapid Recovery Reflex to Feel Better – Quicker will be published by Simon and Schuster in 2026.
